Classic Charleston served as the perfect backdrop for PRI’s annual meeting in November, where the focus was all about growth and the many ways it can take place in a company and team.
PRI welcomed 10 new members to its team in 2024, reflecting significant growth across several departments and the ability to offer new service lines and extended expertise in areas like credit card programs. They also spent time reviewing the company’s vision and discussing trends and changes coming to the financial industry. Because the team works remotely across several states, the annual meeting was an opportunity to connect and get to know each other better in the South Carolina city brimming with Southern hospitality and good food.
Growing and collaborating as a team are part of the culture at PRI, and culture was one of the topics covered in the meeting. In keeping with PRI’s approach of living out its mission and principles, the group discussed the PRI culture book and its integration into the company’s work. Educating and working with PRI’s clients means helping them grow as well, not just for a single project but sustainably, over time.
“One of our guiding principles is around the education of our clients,” said Mike Holt, PRI partner. “We’re helping financial institutions by providing expert solutions for specific problems, but that’s not the end of the story. We want to provide a strong foundation to every client we work with, so they can take what they learn from us and build on it for future growth and profitability.”
The relational aspect of the PRI Way ensures that clients receive the genuine care and support they need to accomplish their long-term strategic objectives.
PRI invited health and wellness coach Ashley Henzler to speak to the team about managing their health while working remotely. As the PRI team grows and draws experts from all over the US, the commitment to working well remotely continues to be important, and Henzler offered practical strategies to help.
To further connect with one another and get a true flavor of Charleston, the team chose their own adventure, which included bike riding through the city, a cooking class to make an authentic Charleston meal of low country okra soup, shopping through the city market and local wine tasting. A scavenger hunt around Charleston’s Rainbow Row provided the opportunity for friendly competition and new alliances. The company recognized the 10-year work anniversary of Lisa Slade, PRI office manager, and discovered they have several die-hard Kansas City Chiefs football fans on the team.
“The annual meeting is an excellent time to reconnect with our colleagues, who are spread out far and wide,” said Mikelle Brady, PRI partner. “It gives each of us the opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the depth of our expertise in banking and plot how we’re going to advance our clients and their organizations in the coming year.”
